Bookkeeping services that keep you ready, not scrambling

Clean, current books every month — reconciled, categorized correctly, and explained in plain English, so tax time is a formality instead of a fire drill.

Bookkeeping Services

For small businesses

Most small business owners do not need more spreadsheets. They need to open a report and trust the number they see. That is what bookkeeping is for: every transaction categorized correctly, every account reconciled to the bank, and a monthly report that tells you what actually happened.

We work in QuickBooks Online on a monthly or quarterly cadence. You get a set of books your tax preparer can file from without a clean-up project first — because we are also the ones filing it.

What monthly bookkeeping covers

  • Monthly or quarterly bookkeeping cadence
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation to the statement
  • Transaction categorization with a documented vendor map
  • QuickBooks Online setup, clean-up, and chart of accounts repair
  • Profit & loss and balance sheet you can actually read
  • Year-end books handed straight to your tax return
Who this is for

Where this fits

Owners who are behind

Books untouched for months — or years. Catch-up work is normal here, not a special case.

Owners who outgrew DIY

The spreadsheet worked at the start. It stopped working somewhere around the third bank account.

Owners who got burned

Inherited a file full of duplicate accounts and mystery balances from whoever came before.

How it works

What working together looks like

1

We look at the file first

Before quoting anything, we open the books and tell you honestly what shape they are in and how much clean-up is real.

2

Clean-up, then cadence

We fix the historical mess once, then keep it current monthly so it never rebuilds.

3

Reports that get read

Each month you get statements plus a short plain-English note on what changed and what to watch.

Common questions

Bookkeeping Services, answered

How much do bookkeeping services cost?

It depends on transaction volume and how much clean-up the file needs, so we quote after looking at the actual books rather than guessing up front. For small businesses that want bookkeeping, payroll, and year-end taxes handled together, our bundle starts at $500 a month.

My books are years behind. Is that a problem?

No, and you would not be the first. Catch-up work is a routine part of what we do. We rebuild the records year by year, reconcile back to the bank statements, and get you current so the ongoing monthly work starts from a clean base.

Do I have to use QuickBooks Online?

We work in QuickBooks Online because it lets us share access and keep the books current in real time. If you already use it, we can start immediately. If you do not, we will set it up and migrate your history. You do not need to learn the software yourself.

What is the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is the record keeping: tracking income and expenses, reconciling accounts, keeping the file accurate. Accounting uses those records to file taxes, plan ahead, and advise on decisions. We do both, so the numbers we plan around are the same clean numbers we recorded.

Can you work with my existing tax preparer?

Yes. Plenty of clients keep their preparer and just want the books right. We hand over a clean year-end file and answer their questions directly so you are not stuck relaying messages.
