Tony took the long road to private practice: four years in the Marine Corps, then a decade as a federal auditor, negotiating indirect cost rates for organizations with expenditures up to $3 billion.
At the Department of the Interior, his job was to hold other people's numbers to federal standards — audit them, question them, and negotiate them. He started Apal in 2022 for a simple reason: most people never get an accountant who pays that kind of attention. The books are behind, the last preparer went quiet, or the only contact all year was a bill in April. Apal was built to fix exactly that.
More than a hundred individuals and small businesses now trust Apal with their books and filings. Most of the business clients are S-Corporations, which is where the firm's tax-planning work runs deepest. Tony is a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer with ten years of federal audit and negotiation experience at the U.S. Department of the Interior. He works in QuickBooks Online and stays current on federal and state tax rules so your filings hold up.
